Doc and the Earps
« on: May 03, 2014, 03:50:41 AM »
Is this Doc Holliday with Warren and Virgil and two others?
It could be. They're dead ringers for Doc and Virgil.
(I've had to reverse the image.)

I'd say not, but what do I know ? Any info on the provenance (?) of the photo ? Is it presented to view as being them ? (cool photo !)

I have been reading a lot on the Earps and Doc..(both history and historic novels, I like a historic novel that twines real events with a fictional story line.makes good reading)

and those folks in the photo don't look anything like the gents in the books I have.

that being said it still is a pretty cool picture.

I dont think so,Eye shape is different as is ear size and shape. Facial structure and jawline and chin appear to be different  but there is a resembance.

Comparing those two physiognomies, there is definitely a strong resemblance - problem is, the gent at the top is a lot older than Doc was when he went to his eternal reward . . . unless TB aged him that much ?

The seated man on the left could be James Earp.  The port-wine stain is consistent.
