Interesting read, he echos my impressions I wrote for the winter edition NCOWS Shootist.

Now, 7 months in and some 700 rounds through it , I'll echo his comment ..... Mine will not be going back either !  :)

I wonder if Mr Imperato would have one built for me, chambered in .44 Russian with an 18 inch barrel.  Drool!!!

I hope they sell well enough that they wind up offering an improved Henry.

I handled a HRA Henry at a gunshow today - very nice! Price was $1800 - not too bad.

Just read through this thread and although I'm not interested in a 18" barrel, chambering the Henry in 44 Russian would be a lot more authentic (i.e. closer to the original 44 Rimfire) than the current 44-40 chambering. If HRA offered 44 Russian as an optional chambering I would buy one. The 44-40 (more correctly referred to as the 44 WCF) is better represented in the 1873 Winchester.

44 Russian wont happen as they would have to make a new frame which is shorter.
Yes the carrier can be altered but not good enough for me, 44sp is as close as it gets with the frame set up at present.
