"Glue"
« on: October 23, 2005, 12:53:25 PM »
I want to attach garment thickness pig skin to garment thickness pigskin to hold it in place while I stitch it permanently.  This is for decorative appliques (sp) on a coat.

What is recommended?  One place wants to sell me "hide glue" at $7.00 for a small bottle.  Another place says commercial rubber cement is the thing to use.

People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.

I use Barge cement to hold pieces together for stitching. If I need the seam to be more flexible, I will stay stitch it with a loop of thread every couple inches or so to hold the pieces in place.
