What caliber is this?  I love my conversions.

Buckskin Billy,
Who made that great looking piece, Kenney Howell? That is the best looking Type I Conversion I have seen. Thanks for the pictures, gives me something to dream about.

I would fear you may have some severe mechanical problems with that Type 1 Richards.  Ship it to me and I'll work all the "new gun" Buggs out of it for you.  It shouldn't take more than,  o say about two years or so and then I'll return it to you properly broken in  ::)

Buckskin,

Did you contact Jay Strite directly for this work or thru the Kirst website?

I went thru the website but no response yet...but it's been less than a week.

Also queried Howell Old West Conversions.  Got an immediate response that Kenny Howell is retiring and not taking in any additional work.

hey satchmo, sorry for the delayed response, aint been spending much time on the compooter lately.
several years back jay made a post on here that he would be building a small lot of these guns on your donor. I jumped at it. I made a call to him, sent him a 1860 army and deposit and then just made monthly payments and waited patiently.

Let me just proudly say, I am officially extremely jealous. Jay does indeed do an excellent job on whatever he tries his hand at. Enjoy that iron, Billy, it looks to nice to just be a 'looker'. ;)

Hi Buckskin,

I finally got in touch in with Jay and am now patiently waiting like you were!

The pics of your gun were enough for me...!!!  Absolutely beautiful!
