I ordered a commercial bench cylinder loader for my 1858 snubbie which has no loading lever. Not up to standards.
So I replaced the plastic base with some scrap 5/16" aluminum. Also got a brass gas pipe, cut the threads off and fitted it to the original handle to it with some JB weld. The pedestal was raised about a half inch with some aluminum washers to improve geometry. JB stuck those together as well. Works well now. If I ever need to load colt cylinders that are not flat on the back, I'll modify it again.
