So What Do I Have Here?
« on: March 05, 2014, 10:58:32 PM »
I've bought a pair of USFA's and they will be here in a few days. I'm not sure of their desirability/collectability. The worse thing about them as the original owner tossed the boxes as he'd planned on using the revolvers. Other than that, they're a pair of 4 3/4" .38 Specials, unfired, color case hardened and consecutive serial numbers.

I've seen the term "Turnbull case hardened" but don't know how to tell if mine have that.

  Thanks for any help/info.

Cholla,
Doug Turnbull did all of the case hardening for USFA.
From the looks of the cylinder flutes and the conical firing pin, I would say that your guns are later production and, as such, all US made.
