After watching this video it is a wonder they don't cost much more. I can't believe the work that goes into a Verney-Carron double rifle or shotgun:

Anybody surprised at the amount of hand work that goes into a custom built firearm?

For the difference between that and the $270.00 I spent in 1974, I'll stick with my SKB 220E.
