Pietta had one at the shot show (unfluted) and it's also listed in their new catalog ;D

WONDER HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE FOR THIS THREAD TO TURN INTO A "NOT HISTORICAL" PIETTA BASH ?????????

I think the pepperbox would look cool with a birdshead grip!
That derringer looked big, is it the size of an original Remington or is it Bond sized?

Aw poop.  That show was in Europe somewhere.  Pietta makes all kinds of really neat toys for the continental market we never see.  Boo Hoo.  I gave up on the '51 framed Pepperbox after chasing them last year.  Been waiting for a pair of purpose built Pietta 1860 Snubbies since Pietta tilde me no go on the Pepperbox's.  Drat.
I may have a look on the EMF web site to see if they are really offering it again.  Of course  I've already spent my Pepperbox money  ???

All Walt at EMF was able to tell me yesterday was that it was "in the Pietta catalogue". The one I have was a joint venture between EMF and a fellow in Florida that built a few cylinders. Mine is fluted and the one in the video is not. Mine is smoothbore and the one in the video appears to be also.........

The Maverick double derringer was produced early on by Uberti and could no longer be imported after 1968 do to the GCA. They are LARGE but just a scaled up copy of the Remington Double derringer.

OK.  Enough already.  Here I am, building a Steampunk persona for CAS, I wanted a pair of '51 Pepperboxes for my persona and I chased the Pepperboxes last year and ....... Nada.  Only a few made and they were all sold.  Phooey.  Then this thread starts, and the show with the Pepperbox is somewhere in Europe so I wrote that off as Rumor and Propaganda.  Then ..... Out comes the new Guns of The Old West magazine, and what's on the back page ?????  Yep  the '51 Pepperbox is back
People Don't Understand .....

I ALREADY SPENT MY PEPPERBOX MONEY!!  It's not fair.

Well ......... AWRIGHT!!  I talked to everybody who knows, or might know, or knows somebody who might know somebody who knows, what the story is on the reiteration of the never existed, 1851 Navy framed perfect STEAMPUNK pistol ......... and ......... yep, Pietta is building them again.  Based on strong sales in this country (all 12 of them) over a year, there is no plan to bring them back.  Ever.  No way.  Ain't gonna happen.  Besides .........

I ALREADY SPENT THE PEPPERBOX MONEY!!!!!  ;D

If they are making them - and you want one - have a friend in europe order the parts and send them over the pond.
Or - just order direct.
Skip the US importer entirely.
I've had numerous firearms and items shipped overseas.
This would be a muzzle loading non-firearm, so easy as a pair of shoes...
