It was an ugly honey brown,stripped that off and wanted a dull shine,was thinkin black to be different,i actually used chalk paint and rubbed it with 0000 steel wool and it buffed to a dull shine,then sealed it with a wax that is for chalk paint.Polished all the brass that was very dull and dirty(alot of elbow grease)I used that stuff in a can that looks like cotton,pull a piece off
and clean and polish then used a metal paste polish and buffe out all the brass and put it all back together. :)

While I'm nut usually into "Black Rifles" could make an exception for this one...
