GAF Artificers???
« on: October 25, 2013, 05:03:27 AM »
I had this request

You don't know if we have any machinists in the GAF do you? We would have more fun if we had more of the 45 colt adapter sleeves the Gatling uses. They are just lathe turned sleeves and not overly complex. ...... I will obviously be willing to pay for the work.

If anybody can and wants to do the job please contact G.W. Strong

If you could send me and example or a good mechanical drawing, we have a good machinist here in town I could check with.  He kind of likes doing stuff like that.

If that's the same machinist that cut the loading groove on your conversion revolver you showed me I'd say that those adapters would be no problem for him.

That's the one.  He's got the auto-feed lathes so I'm wondering if he could set one of them up to make these.  It's generally less expensive if he can make a pretty good run of something.

We could use quite a few.
