My "new" Double Eagle

Got this a few days ago. Like brand new, and a real slick revolver. It's had the springs lightened, and it's perfectly timed.

The Double Eagle is beautiful.  That is the only USFA gun that I regret not having purchased a pair when they were available.

Good for you, Napawino, and welcome to the forum!  It's a beautiful gun.  I have one and I love it.

Very, very nice little piece! I think I like the Double Eagle over the Birdshead model, but then I like every USFA model I see. ;D

This is a D.M. Bullard holster, made for a Ruger Montado. Fits perfectly.

The Mernickle hi ride holster showed up today. They said 5 weeks, and it only took a week and a half.

Now..THIS is a serious holster. The gun lays super tight to my body, with the butt held close. VERY easy to conceal under just about any shirt or jacket.

Simply the best.  It has an extra belt slot and can also be worn crossdraw.

Bob Mernicle turns out some incredible stuff.  I have several of his rigs plus that very same holster (without the 3rd slot).
For those who might not be acquainted with Bob, his web site is; www.mernickleholsters.com.

I have an apple tree in my yard that has some of the sourest, nasty tasting apples. I took a couple sacks full of them up into the hills and stuck them on some pointed sticks for targets.  I burned up around 300 rounds of some cowboy loads that I've had laying around.

Applesauce was left for the critters.  Fruits and veggies are my favorite targets. No cleanup needed. I just grabbed my sticks and headed home.

Lots of fun. I love this revolver. Awesome trigger and I got to where I wouldn't even use the sights. I just "look down" the barrel and fire. Hee Haw!!!!
