A fellow I know, is a pilot (small single engine ) he lost both legs to a Crash.
He now wears Titanium prosthetic's just at and below the knees , drives a Corvette with a stick.
He also, rides one of those stand up electric scooters, just to zip around the vast floor on the convention centers, he works as a supervisor for aerial rigging.

Friend of mine lost his left leg above the knee in a motorcycle accident, he still rides, and I've seen him driving a tractor. Since his business is cars, I suppose he still drives standards too.

For CAS shooting, you could have a real, period correct peg leg made. Have it written in the stage to take off your leg and whack someone with it at the end, everyone else on the posse would have to take a "P".

Danny, my late Father-In-Law was a below the knee left leg amputee.  He went back to work after his recovery, at his former job driving a ready mix truck; that was in the 1950's.  He continued to drive mixers and dump trucks right up until his retirement in the late '70's, and garnered many safety awards and other citations.  Life isn't over by any means, just different.  You and Maggie are always, and will continue in my thoughts.

...and the hits just keep on coming.  Now I'm told my best friend I served overseas with died of a heart attack in his sleep.  I can only hope it was fast for him.
2013 has been one hell of a year for me.   :'(

I did get the new foot/leg and I'm learning to walk again.
