How long did it take you to make it?
About 4-5 hrs. hot cutting, forging, filing and heat treatment...Takes a while when you choose not to use electrical tools...
I'd guess 10-12 hours in the sheath...I do most of that stuff at night instead of turning the rest of my brain to jelly watching TV....Plus I done the rawhide and tanned the hide....
The patina on the antler is really good; did you do anything specific to it?
I boiled it with fat for a yellowish look (Thanks Chuck Burrows), rubbed in my grease/pine pitch/beeswax/compost dirt finish and hung it in the barn window for a couple of months....
