« on: January 17, 2013, 07:06:56 PM »
Ok I need to do a little action spring replacement on my uberti pistols and rifle, and stoeger coach gun. What are the preferred kits out there. And later will probably do some sort stroke work on the yellowboy. So chime in pards.

He invented the short stroke. Seriously. Send him all of your guns. World renowned gunsmith, fellow shooter, and friend. He just recently one a state match up in the NorthEast. Fast turn around, honest to a fault, and kind blunt :).

Tell Cody (aka Don Jones and Linda) Red said Howdy.

Oh yeah. Reasonable prices.

The rifle will need an aluminum carrier, a reduced power mainspring, softer  action springs ( Iuse Slix Springs http://cowboygunparts.com/lever-springs.html ), and a super polish job. You can add the short stroke kit also. Easy on the moderate ones. The radical ones include the price of a lever (I think).

Look arounf for wire springs for the revolver bolt/sear at Wolfe Springs. Won't break and a better trigger. Also, Wolfe has a reduced power mainspring for the revolver.

Not sure if it would make any difference to you, but be aware that some shooting organizations, NCOWS being one, disallow short stroke modifications.

Of course action jobs are OK.
