Kodiak Bowie
« on: January 02, 2013, 07:39:04 PM »
Just showing off one I just finished. This is one of my huge "Kodiak" Bowies. The Blade is fashioned after an authentic Civil War D-Guard Bowie. I left off the D-Guard and capped it off with some really nice Sambar stag and antiqued brass.

Wow, that is awesome.   I love the look of stag on anything and that is a blade!  Great job.

The really good Indian Sambar stag is getting pretty hard to find these days. I still have a few outstanding pieces that I am saving for special projects but I seldom find the good knarly stag anymore.
