I've shot just enough of it to decide it will probably be ALL I shoot in the future. When you weigh out the quality and price it's only way to go.

Remington Large rifle primers are proving to really be the primer to use with it.

What if you're shooting 32-20 or .38 Special?   :D

Where are you getting your powder at ? I want to try a couple pounds , then maybe order a case? Does the Johnson County Rangers order in bulk from Powder Inc .

I've started using it in my 38 S&W breaktop. After several rounds the fouling is actually moist. wM1

I was loading some Old Eysnford last night night and noticed something interesting. I was setting up some new reloading dies for Schofield rounds and on my first try the seating die set the bullet way too deep in the case and compressed the heck out of the powder. I removed the bullet with a kinetic puller and found the powder had become a very solid plug. It was so solid that I could not break it up with a dental pick  and I had to use water to dissolve it.

I don't know if that is common for black powder since this was the first time I had pulled a bullet after compressing the powder.

I demilled some BP rounds I made using 777 and Goex, the powder was pretty compressed and was almost solid.  I used a small flat blade screwdriver to break it up and get the old powder out.  So yes, this does happen with other BPs.
