Converting trenchgun to SASS legal?
« on: October 02, 2012, 11:19:07 PM »
Is it simply a matter of removing the heatshield/bayonet mount & sling to be legal?

Also, what's the simplest/cheapest replacement front sight, a BB with some epoxy, or a droplet of Liquid Metal, or do I have to pay to have it drilled and tapped?

I got a good deal on a IAC '97 because the heatshield and sling were already gone, but there's no front sight.

Pay the money and have a bead properly installed.

My Good Chute -
As St George said, it is well worth the effort to get a proper front bead, most smiths charge perhaps $15-$25 plus the cost of the bead.
