Didn't know he was in both.  His real name was Marty Martin and he was stationed at the Air Base here in Lincoln in the late 50's-early 60's.  He used to play on the noon show on channel 10 with Marty Martin and the KOLN TV Rangers. Grin  He cut a 45 on the ROTO a defunct local label and the A side was a song called Boxcar Wille. Grin  My Dad had a couple copies of that on was his and one was his aunt's.  Sadly they didn't get them autographed when they bought them, he was at the downtown Sears one evening sellin' them, for some stupid reason I still remember that even though I must not have been over 5 years old.

I went and saw George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers back when they were on an indy label and playing college gyms. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago.

Ya want to see gross, I've been on a green vegatble kick latley, Brussel Sprouts, spinach, asparagus, sugar snap peas and I ate 4 bowels of turnip greens at Cracker barrel last night.  (What vegetable do you want? Greens.  And what else? Geens, put them in little bowls, put them in a big bolw, just bring me some vinegar.)

Well any way, er never mind Slim might be back on afore Friday, would hate to be whopped with one a my own skillets. Grin
