They're everything I wanted. Tight, well fitted, beautiful case-hardening and blue. Can't wait to shoot 'em!  ;D

Very nice!  The case colors are gorgeous.  Hope they shoot as good as they look.

Thanks! I've been grinning ear to ear, looking at those rampant colts. Fighting the urge to go into the backyard and pick off some hickory nuts with .45 projectiles (the neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate that!).

J.D.

With initials like you have it is no wonder you have such great taste in single actions!

I have never seen a nicer pair of Colt SAA's - The color case hardening and the polished bluing is spectacular - Good choice in barrel length too!

Enjoy these for the rest of your life.......shooting the pair or just looking at them and handling both.....

Thanks JD (great name), Danny and Joe! Had to go out on the road so I haven't had a chance to shoot them yet. Probably need to find some .454's to load (all mine are .452's).  Hardest part of being on the road was I couldn't take them along!

Great lookin JD

Here is my "retirement" Colt, gift to myself for gettin outta the job alive.  I "paired" it up with a GW2 all blue/black, that I just happened to have Ole Lone$um (RIP) put on Colt grips.

wish I could have afforded a pair, but wasn't in the books. Enjoy yours...and gives more pix..

.452 is the correct bullet size, not .454, and has been for years(starting w/2nd gen guns)

I just discovered this post. If you're sizing bullets for the barrel, .452 would be the correct size. However, based on the exzperience of several long-time Colt owners, Colt 3rd Gen throats are oversized. Mine range from .453 to .455.  I'm asking for reduced accuracy and leading if I use .452's.  Everyone I've talked to uses .454's. I sized them to the the cylinder throats.
