Arcey,I always try and issue health alerts when I can. We have already reached our forcasted high for the day(97), maybe in the next minute or so, we can up that high. We had a bacon and cheese omelet with sliced tomatoes and toast for our brunch. Too hot for the backyard. Moose is in the back, packing for her trip. Victoria is lying under ceiling fan, enjoying the cool air from it. No clue for supper tonight.

Thankee, Miz Letty. Could use a glacier if ya got one ya ain’t usin’…………………
Didn’t do too well with my salad. Picked up a can of Haddon House brand anchovies. Tin was clearly marked filets. Had one stuck in the can I decided wasn’t gonna make the salad. Pried it out with the fork ‘n bit it. Damned thing was more bones than fish. Pulled one off the salad – same. Pulled the rest off. They’re in the garbage.
Most the way thru the meal an olive, a stuffed olive, store brand, ended up takin’ its turn on the fork. Thank God I didn’t bite directly into the thing. The pit was still in it.
Prepped ‘nuff ta have salads tomorrow. Thinkin’ I’ll do chicken instead.

Arcey, had some spare glacier in mid June...'tis all melted off an' floatin' down the Truckee river by now...
Last year the die-hard ski bums were up there skiin' in bikinis 4th of July week-end. So far we are OK in the reserviors but we didn't get near the snow pack expected...
Pan seared lemon yard bird, rice & mustard greens were on the table jus' now

Moose went to the grocery store and brought some sirloin steak, potatoes, and corn for supper. I hooked up the propane can up to the grill. I'm gonna enjoy cooking on the grill and eating that steak and sides when their done.

Got some rain today. It has rained a lot more here then at home this summer. Everyone is green here instead of brown.

Hay, y'all.
Forecast: steamy hot. 64 days ‘til spring.
Why I put the brand name on the street, Buck. Ya get a choice I'd suggest ya pick 'nother brand. That's the last of 'em for me.
WM, I gotta watch the chicken bones careful. If I lose one, my predictions for the future won’t come out right.
Ain’t Glockin’ taday. Gonna S&W ‘n Brownin’. Been a long time since I’ve shot .22s. Thinkin’ it’ll be fun.
The l’il Browin’ is a .22 short self shucker. Cleaned it up ‘n shot a box out it when I first got it out it the dearly departed Pungo range. She werked fine but she’d been neglected fer years. Looks it too.
The 2206 Smith I did bowlin’ pins with. Ain’t shot a pin match since ’97. Andi kinda adopted that’n. What she used a couple weeks ago ta kill one my paper camps………

Got a bunch a pictures up from the muster:
http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,44406.0.html
For anyone lookin' for a shoot that is a bit on the tough side this is the one to go to. Targets are knock downs and sometimes set at a pretty good distance and they have to fall or get hit 3 times to count, includes walking up on them in a canyon, shoot them in any order you want. Add the heat and humidity of a Newbrassky July and wow. Will never be a popular shoot, but then we won't be able to handle more than 25 anyway because of space and the nature of the shoot, Stu can chime in because he knows more about the shooting part, but fancy electronic timers are not needed.

We tried one of them fancy electronic timers on the first stage but it wouldn't handle enough time - reset after 200 seconds & there's only so much fun you can have in that much time. We timed the rest of the match with a stopwatch & the fastest stage times were over three minutes. Targets are smaller than SASS shooters are used to and not lined up to be knocked down. You have to look for them behing cover and concealment while hiking up the canyon. Misses are not counted & there are no penalties but if a target is left standing or if you walk past one you are considered "killed" and the score for that stage is the longest time for the stage + 20 seconds. There are no "round counts" - the is a target count & you must knock them all down with the ammo you carry with you. There are also some bayonet targets that I engage with my Bowie knife, but any edged weapon may be used.

The trick to fast times at this shoot is to not waste time getting close to the targets (you can get as close as you need to to knock them down) and don't miss (reloading takes time).
What reallym makes it a fun event is the people who show up there.

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. I took the Moose to the airport this morning for her trip to Atlanta. She will be back Monday night. I had some errands to run after I got her off. I stopped by IHOP and had a good breakfast. I drove back home and fed Victoria. I laid down for a nap and woke up at 1300. It's 92 and humid outside, with a high of 98. Victoria is taking a nap. I'll fix me a sammich this afternoon, still full from breakfast.

Wind chill's 102°. Do gotta fairly decent breeze. Still got sweaty bringin' the garbage cans in.
Maj, them l'il Smiths is a hoot ta hand ta someone what don't know 'em. Lock the slide back 'n they can't find the chamber.
.22s was kinda fun. Swept the brass up 'n tossed it in the brass bucket.
The feds, lower case intended, make the indoors move a lot of air. Shootin's done on the top floor 'n the roof's tarred. 1000 hours it was gettin' kinda thick in there. Was out in the lobby shootin' the bull with the folks by 1045 hours.
Startin' ta look it the weather for the OFSDAR thing next week. Long range ain't lookin' real good. Mid-nineties all week.

We still might break 100 this afternoon. The sammich that I made turned out good. Victoria is still napping. The A/C and fans are working well. I might just make me another sammich for supper.
