A very small gun shop where I do a lot of buisness these days has 3 interesting Colts for sale. The owner, a friend and Korean war vet, knows how much I like old Colts and showed me a Colt Frontier SAA, so marked on the barrel, in 44-40, of course with 7.5 inch barrel. It is in fine shape and was made in 1896. He also has 2 Colt Bisleys with 5.5 inch barrels. One is in caliber 45 Colt and the other is in caliber 32-20. He said the 32-20 was made in 1898 and the 45 in 1906. Price tags on any of the 3 is right around $2000.00 each.
I'm thinking about buying the 32-20 Bisley. He says 32-20 ammo is "seasonal", meaning the ammo companies put out a batch once or twice a year and you have to buy it while it's available.
