Remington Mod
« on: June 04, 2012, 05:55:34 PM »
Just got my factory conversion Remington in 45 Colt back from the gunsmith. Cut barrel back to 6 1/2 inches.
I redid the grips in oil. Got a set of aged Ivory ordered from Tombstone Grips. Here is a before & after.

LOOKIN' GOOD!

Once you've shot it, let us know how it changed the point of impact.

Very nice work!

I've got a 5 shot .45 Colt conversion Remington and when I shoot it Duellist (250 gr Lyman/6 gr Red Dot) , I get a good knuckle rap from the trigger guard, and I've got a small hand.
I've been toying with the idea of hogging out the grip frame and reshaping the rear of the trigger guard to make it more comfortable.
'T'wouldn't be SASS legal, but it would be a damn sight easier gun to shoot with one paw.
