My "Cuchillo Carzinero" or Bag Knife

This fine old knife started out as Lamson & Goodnow carving knife. As with many originals, I shortened it a bit for use as a "meat knife", aka cuchillo carzinero, or as a bag knife with my possibles bag. It now has a 6" blade with pewter bolsters and bone handles. Hope you like seeing it! In the first picture, you can see it with my modified table knife that I use as a patch knife.
Regards,
Jake

Nice looking knife, Jake. I've got a weakness for them, as I see you do, too.

Yes, I do, Caleb! I'll be making a plain pouch sheath for this one later this week.

Thanks, Bill! It sharpens up like a razor, too!

Jake, That is a fantastic bag knife amigo. It looks light, perfect for patches and probably pulls its weight skinning too. Too bad there are few and far between modern knife makers that match the quality of the old stuff.
I need to catch up with you guys at coming events.

I'm hoping we can all meet up in Kansas this Fall! It would be great to show off our kit to each other and swap stories! I'm praying the work situation allows it, as I have been unemployed for almost 6 months!!! Oh, well, at least I have time to work on some simple projects. Still working on getting the pouch sheath done for my bag knife.
Regards,
Jake

Okay, so I do have a prejudice in favor of your knife. They work great.

That's a great looking bag and sheath, Dave! Still haven't completed mine yet...but hope to work on it soon. I'm working at my local gun store now, and, as you can imagine, things are quite busy!
Regards,
Jake
P.S. Congratulations on taking over TAPS from Caleb!

Thanks Jake. I'll post some more pics of it also. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your gear. Gun shop eh? I need to get you a shopping list for 9mm, .45ACP, ,.308, .223 and 7.62x39 (I like the Bulgarian stuff if you have it). *Disclaimer, I am not into farbing out any upcoming shoots, this is for my extra-curricular project.
