"Goin' South" Jack Nickolson, Christoper LLoyd, John Belushi

Funny movie. Another one of my favorites. Who has seen this one?

Henry Moon is captured for a capital offense by a posse when his horse faints while trying to escape to Mexico. Standing on the gallows with his head in the noose, he finds that there is a post-Civil War law in the small town that any single or widowed woman can save him from the gallows by marrying him. Julia Tate needs a man to help her work her mine and marries him. The sheriff makes it very clear to Moon what the consequences of his leaving Julia will be. The two begin to try to form a relationship based on necessity in which they have nothing in common.

Nobody likes "the Quick and the Dead", but a lemon like 'Goin South' is a "great movie"?  LOL! Not exactly one of Jack's better moments, IMHO, and one I'm sure he'd like everyone to forget.  The best part about the movie was Mary Steenburgen....and I didn't even recall seeing John Belushi in it...  I guess I'll have to hunt up a copy and take another peek.

How can you call it a lemon when you can't remember seeing John Belushi in it? Have you even seen it?
Heck of a lot more authentic than the Sharon Stone - Quick and the Dead, and a heck of a lot more funnier, too. Oh, "Q & D" wasn't a comedy? Should have been because that movie was a joke! :)

Probably because his part was so unmemorable.   Not unlike Nickolson's.

Yes, I've seen it...but it's been a while.  I should be able to locate a copy in the $1.99 bin at WalMart, though :)

Yep! It'll be on top of the $.97 " Quick & Dead" someone threw in there because they changed their mind about wasting the money. ;D

LOL!  Which will (evidently) be on top of the aptly named $.49 copy of 'Hell to Pay'  :)
