My pard Sod Buster and I, spent most of the morning and part of the Afternoon at the Gunshow. The very first table we went to had a nice selection of C&B pistols and some older Colt Remmy's and Others.   There was one there even the owner is not sure what the model is. The pictures were taken with my delapidated cell phone. I understand the Gunshow police don't allow cameras so it is the best I could do. The Barrel is addressed Colt Firearms NewYork not Hartford.  This had a cap type hammer but had a floating firing pin. We believe it was 32 long but may have been 36 converted to 38s&w.  Not typical to colts that era it has a brass frame incasing the clyinder. Which was removable with some effort.  Sorry the pixel quality is not worth a darn.  Thanks for any help

Chances are from what I can see is that somebody pieced together a conversion of what used to be an old Colt Blackpowder.  The New York address is typical.  Colt felt that his arms would have a better chance of selling with the New York address instead of Hartford.  The barrel is either from a Colt 1861 Navy, or 1862 Pocket Police that has been cut down.  From the front sight I would guess the 1861 Navy.  The bottom rear of the frame and grip frame were probably part of the original Colt, but the brass frame and it's cylinder, I have no idea.

Yep, not a Colt.  Some Colt parts and a interesting but cobbled together conversion.

Not an actual Colt at all - just an accumulation of parts made into something, by someone with time on his hands.

Scouts Out!
