Brought Home my Vaquero

I managed to survive the 10 day wait and picked up my NM Vaquero today. It is a Bisley in 45LC and is NICE!. Now I will have to wait until April 30th to start the paperwork on its partner, then i will have a nice pair for CAS. Unfortunatly here in California you have to wait 30 days between each purchase of a handgun. It doesn't mater to the state that I already own enough guns to outfit a small third world countries army.

It has been a long time since I've purchased one handgun at a time. Stupid inconvenience.

California is gorgeous but I still don't think I could live with such day to day idiocy.

Old Doc you are right some of the stuff here is stupid! Unfortunatly our grandkids live here so we are not moving anytime soon. By the way, I just started the second 10 day period on the Vaquero's partnter and should have it two days before our next shoot.

Congrats on your new purchase. I know you'll like it! You'll like it twice as much when you've got it's stable mate. I prefer the older model, larger Vaqueros myself, (I own 4 of them), but everything I've read about the "New Vaquero" has been good.
Shoot straight and be safe. Enjoy!

Glad you got BOTH now.
Damn, I cannot see what purpose the delayed buy crap accomplished in some states.
Have fun with your Rugers!

Whoooppppeeeee!
just brought home my second New Model Vaquero Bisley today. I now have a nice matching pair, unfortunatly they are not consecutive serial numbers, but they look very nice. My new holsters should be done in a couple of weeks so in the meantime I will use my current ones, but they fit fairly well.

PDN:
Congratulations on the 2nd Bisley Vaquero. Don't be too down about them 'shooters not being sequential.
The ones I gunfight with ain't sequential.
My son's, my wife's are consecutives though and you can't really tell the diff.
They all shoot the same POA (SASS POA)!
Have fun with them Rugers, Pard!
Mustang Gregg
PS I will be back in June, if'n you want to order a RATS badge.

Mine ain't sequential either... see avatar pic over there <-----. I inquired about getting consecutive serial numbers when I bought them at that time but was told no. Not available. I bought the pair anyway. I got no regrets. They look good and shoot good.
