Del, That chili sounds good. I like to mix a little pork sausage with my ground chuck when I make chili. Chili is good the year around, but I usually make it during the winter, as well as beef stew.  Roasted Chicken, green beans and scolloped potatoes for supper tonight.

I wasn't happy with the chili last night, at some leftover rice instead and let it simmer till tonight, there was too much liquid.  I have the lid off now.

Sam's Club 'n eyeglasses ain't gettin' it. I'll reserve judgement on the shootin' glasses 'til tomorrow when I go back to the ophthalmologis - those ain't right 'n I don't know who fouled those up..

Gotta new pair of no-line bifocals last month. Thems are right nice. I go back to Sam's with a set of frames, identical to the frames the bifocal lenses are in. I want a pair, same configuration but I want them tinted. Sunglasses. Go get 'em today after I left the range. Put 'em on in there 'n they looked OK. Got in the station wagon 'n started home........................... CRAP!

I'm passin' creeps, glance over ta their license plate on the way by 'n I can't read it. Take the sunglasses off 'n put the bifocals on pass 'nother creep 'n I can read the plate. Then I notice the near magnification, the bottom of the lenses, is way to high. The more I lower my head 'n higher I look thru the things the clearer things get.

I'm pissed.

Lil's been havin the same problem with her glasses place.  I don' know how many pairs she been through in the last year.  Hate seein her frustrated like that but they jus' can't seem ta get em right.  Bless her heart, she was mad as a hornet an said, "All I want is to be able to read my Bible, I can see fine for driving".

Chili is going in the icebox, Rita made me go to the 501 Bar for suffer.  Two half pound cheese burgers, and iced tea for me, Two pork kebabs for her and a lemon ade and shared 2 dozen large peel and eat shrimp, left a tip. $20 even.

I finished off the last slice of breakfast casserole this morning. I've got some errands to run today. Chilidogs for lunch sound good. Supper is up for grabs tonight. It's 65 with a high of 81 for today.
