Just received this email from Col. Diamond:

"Richard Gimbert (Major Matt Lewis) is in intensive care and soon to be in room 309 recouperating at Olathe Medical Center (Kansas).  He has been a loyal  NCOWS / SASS / GAF / CAS shooter and in recent years an Army officer with his time fairly tied up between family and the army so unable to participate.  I wonder if you would broadcast this note in case his friends would want to know he could use some cheering up.

I spoke to his wife this afternoon.  Confirmed as blood clots.  Apparently he's been in there since last week but is progressing slowly (and rather painfully!).   Shocked  They are hoping to get him out of there soonest and back home to recover. 

Frankly from what she described, it would have felled a lesser man.  But Major Matt has biceps the size of a tree trunk, the constitution of a Missouri mule, and a strong will to live.  She did say that the family will very much appreciate keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.

The Chaplain Staff of GAF is hereby under orders to begin prayer and notification to Dept. members concerning Maj. Matt aka Richard Gimbert.  God is still in the healing business and all we need do is ask. Jesus said, "If any two shall agree on earth as touching anything, it shall be done of My Father who is in Heaven. " and "Ye have not because ye ask not." SO, let's get to asking and agreeing and believing that what God has said is true and Major Matt will be home before you all know it.
