Cheesy I was smiling and then started shooting

Cheesy and I shot some more

 Cheesy I finished shooting

The 44 caliber Rogers and Spencers performed flawlessly - need to work on my capping skills but by last two stages even that was going pretty smooth.

I used Diamond Back 2F in my pistols, 1866 in 44 russian and my 1883 remmington 10 gauge.

Lots of Smoke and BOOM! Fire was to be had in copiuos amounts Grin.

I do love this GAME! Cheesy

I found the smell of brimstone an excellent wife & kids repellent that allowed me more "alone time" to bask in the afterglow of the match while caressing, I mean CLEANING my guns after getting home.

W, I will try to take some pics this weekend.

For everybody who has responded what straight line capper do you use?  I have accumulated a few over the years and it seems the ted cash one that holds about 20 or so caps works best.

SHB - it is pretty fun!

I use the Ted Cash capper. Like it real well. Does a better job of holding the caps at the end.

I might have to do this in two postings but here is a pile of cappers I have grabbed from my shooting box. All but the all brass ones and the snail have been modified on the tips: I ground back the lips of any steel spring that poked out beyond any cap support area and ground back some corners of brass. The snail capper and the all brass tipped ones do not fit unmodified Remingtons but all the others with one or two steel springs on the tips will. I also attach a nipple pick to the lanyard of my cappers to punch the nipples before capping. First pic is a top view of the cappers. Next posting is the underside/bottom view so you can better see the shaping of the tips. Cappers are lined up in the same order except for the snail. The longest steel tipped one on the far right is, I believe a Pedersoli, my favorite.

Here's the bottoms:
Ted Cash in-line cappers on the left in both photos. I don't like the Ted Cash inlines because I cannot strip out all the caps. There is always a few left in them even when "empty". The metal covering hides caps you can't get out easily.

Hellgate, you are really lucky.  I don't know how many folks have had cap explosions from flash photography.   Wink

Honestly, I really don't know.  Probably in the neighborhood of zero.   Grin

Pony, I'm sure you've figgered out that any extra little bit of trouble caused by a percussion revolver is well worth the entire experience.
