It's time for the second Pot O' Cawfee! It's already up tp 66 this morning. We've got rain forcast for today and tomorrow. I've been outside and it smells like rain. My yards are pretty and green, thanks to all the rain we've gotten in Feb. and March.

Del said "poop"!
On that note, marking it "steer" and possibly "black angus" would probably be a case for marking up the price, too. They obviously can't use the "organic" bit..........

Threw a ham-bone in for starters...fished it out sans meat then puttin' in a ring of chorizo, 1/2 lb of groung beef, garlic and a pinch of mexican oregano. Another pinch of red chili flake and simmer for just a bit longer.
No cornbread mix but warmed flour tortillas with butter ought to do it

Tex, Roger Welsch has not posted for several days, this was on his facebook page this morning:
Update on Roger from Linda Welsch:
Rog is in the hospital. He was sick last weekend. We didn't know if it was his heart, initially he overdid it physically doing tractor work,
but it seemed to turn into the stomach flu and a fever. I called the doctor a couple of times, but Rog didn't want to go to the ER. He thought for sure he would be better "in the morning".
But the next day he collapsed and I had to call the EMTs.
(all hell breaks loose when you do that.)
He was in the Howard Co Hospital until today, but since Monday his condition has not improved and he is really ill. They don't yet know what they are dealing with, but suspect some kind of infection. The staff and visitors all had to wear bio-hazard gowns and gloves to go into his room because they didn't know how contagious he was or what it was.
Today he was transferred to a big city hospital for more specialized care and tests. Hopefully we will know something in a few days.
This is the sickest I have seen him in our 32 years together. I'm hoping we will find out something soon.
For those who remember Post Cards from Nebraska on Sunday mornings this is the same Roger Welsch, some prayers for Captain Nebraska would be appreciated. He is one of our state jewels.

Guess it's a big day for prayers. You've all heard tell of Uncle Dennis. Collapsed on his porch and the doctor is giving him 3 days due to liver failure. If you're inclined to pray, add the kids too because the man means the world to them.
I will pray for Roger and his family as well.
