This isn't really a gun review. It's a review of the CD from Steve's Gunz that describes the Rossi 1892, how to assemble/disassemble and modify it. I'll start by saying Yes, get the CD. It is a valuable tool to slicking up your Mod 92. If you have the .38/.357 caliber rifle this CD is exactly what you need. If you have one of the .44/.45/.454 caliber rifles you have to do a little bit of sleuthing to get all of the information, especially when he gets to the modification of the left side cartridge guide. The CD will NOT gain any awards for camera work. It goes in and out of focus on occasion and it points in the wrong direction on occasion, but it is more humurous than it is a problem. You still get all of the information. Steve also has a tendendy on one or two of occasions to start working on the side of the rifle that you can't see and you have to sort of guess which screw he's taking out. He does tell you which one and then when he goes to take out the screw on the other side the other side you can plainly see which screw he was taking out. Like I said a little funny, but certainly NOT a show stopper. What does it tell you? It tells you everything that you need to know about how to slick that mod 92 up. If you follow the video closely and cross-reference it to your diagram or another site with photos or such as that you will end up with one sweet smooth Rossi 92. The hardest part is FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS CLOSELY. After that, it's a piece of cake. I highly recomend that you watch the section of the disc that you want to work with all the way through at least once before you start working and keep your fingers ready to punch the "pause" and/or "rewind" buttons.
