I used to shoot at Trinity when we was kids. (Pa made me promise not to hit him or I'd have to do his chores as well as mine.) 

He swears he heard every shot twice: when it went by him and when he went by it.

He can still be mighty quick when he wants to, he just don't want to very often...unless food's involved.  Then you don't want to get in his way unless you enjoy havin' footprints up one side an' down the other

Another time Trinity is fast is bed time.  He can turn off the light and be under the covers before the room gets dark.  Sure does love his sleep.

I wasn't tryin' to escape the shot... I was tryin' my best to get hit!  How else could I get to stay in bed and avoid all the chores ... without gettin' in trouble.

Naw, he felt stupid, the first one was #12 birdshot out of a 22 pistole.  He was eliminatin' a wasp nest on a junk car we were gettin' parts off of for mine.  One of them bounced and hit me in the face.  Second one was a shotgun with #8's, he shot at a starling on our backstop and got it, but one pellet hit a hubcap and bounced of, yep the other cheek.  I had good shootin' glasses on so no harm done.

His judgement was impaired from the lack of nutrition  had to resort to isects and nasty little starling's

Ya, but I got him good a couple of weeks later, the but of his rifle slipped shootin' prone and he got a Roy Weatherby above his eye, I didn't know it and he took off his muffs to stop the bleedin' and got the muzzle blast off my 243, stuffed full of H450 and a 70 gr bullet.  It's a bit sharp.
