Ok folks I'm as new as it gets when it comes to single action cowboy guns.  I've done some digging but really need some "expert" help.  I started shooting at the young age of 54 and immediately bought a Dillon 550 reloader because guns are cheap but ammo is expensive!  My habit started with a Sig P226 Dark Elite but quickly went to a Colt King Cobra.  Then a week ago I picked up a Winchester Centennial 66 model 94 so I got a Lyman #2 peep site.... AWESOME Weapon!  Now an acquaintance just gave me 1600 45LC cases so I picked up a set of dies to reload them.  My problem is every time I come across a 45 LC revolver to purchase I haven't got a clue if it is a POS or a quality handgun.  I'm retiring in one week and I dont want my wife to use this against me so I'm in need of some quality advice...  In 45LC what would be a quality "starter" piece where I wont want to replace it after my 1st month? Huh

Classic,

I have had excellent luck with EMF's Great Western II, I did change mine to the Alcamesta, which is another good pistol.

Thanks for the feedback!  Cabella's has a Pietta on sale right now so I'll go check it out.  Never know, I just might have to pick me up a little retirement gift Grin

The best bet is hold and even shoot as many as possible to see what feels good in your hand. U can check my website and see many of my gunz and even most of what Old Top shoots:

My vote is for the GW2.

Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.
