Stallion and Low Profile Hammers?
« on: February 01, 2012, 11:33:33 AM »
I’m looking to for some low profile hammers that will fit in Taylors Stallion (the smaller frame pistol).  Does anyone have a suggestion on what’s available?

38-72,
I am not aware of any other hammers available for those small framed Ubertis.  Although I don't think it would be SASS-legal, you could have a gunsmith heat and bend your hammer spur down.  That is what many mounted shooters were doing to their guns before the lowered hammers became commercially available.

There aren't any.  Part of the point with the Stallion is that the reach to the hammer is lower because the gun is smaller.  I shoot duelist and the hammers are very easy to reach.  You can heat and bend them and it is SASS legal.  They changed the rule about modifying hammers a couple of years ago.
