.45-70 double
« on: August 25, 2005, 11:36:18 PM »
Has anybody tried those .45-70 barrel inserts that can convert your EAA shotgun into a .45-70 double rifle? I'm curious about such a thing and would like to hear any experience anybody has had.

I'd like to hear from anybody who has tried that also. Just the thought of it makes my shoulder hurt.

Hehehehehe!  Black powder .45-70's in a double rifle hunting in thick cover. I guess the most dangerous thing I could go after down where I live is a buck in the rut - and that's probably a good thing!  ;D

I love the .45-70 the this could be loads of fun to shoot and hunt with.

A friend of mine had a set briefly.  They shot to two different points of the compass...by about a foot at fifty feet.

I druther have one of the copies of the Colt double rifle that Navy Arrms sells/sold.  Pricey, but it would be a load of fun.
