If ya get this kinda rain it shouln't flood.  It's more of a constant drizzel than a downpour.  Hope it all works out over there.

Last report I saw, they said they had a 50% contain on it. Hope they're right Undecided

Went and got page 8 for the piano score today. I'm hitting the g's and a's better with some practice the last couple days, still have a ways to go yet to consider it down, though. Sticking first valve is a concern, usually does it in a bad place though. Wish all three worked as good as the last two. This thing has a good sound otherwise Undecided

You are right Buck about the 50% containment. Scattered showers throught the region but not enough quite yet to put the dang thing out. Kinda like squirting a hose on the thing.
Glad you have the missin' page..hopefully your equipment holds up during practice for 'ya.

Should be able ta fix the valve Buck.  I had a bottle brush type of thing for the chamber, made sure the valve was nice an shiney an used a good helping of oil.  Only other thing I've seen make em stick is a slightly bent stem, then you are going to have problems no matter what.  Dang things er lot like guns when ya think on it.

Letty an Russ, the rain over here has really picked up, still got ma fingers crossed.

Tri tip in the crock, should be ready by 2130 hours, just waitin on the smell now.

I hope the rains help put out the fires. We had some bad ones around here last summer. Leo, The tri-tip sounds good, it makes good sammichs. Thanks for the car link, Del. I made a 100%. My dad owned many of those cars, as I grew up. He had a love for Mercs. He owned a 49,50, 51, and 52. My granddad owned a 54. The rest of those cars passed through our garages to be worked on. I had a 54, 55, 56, 57, and my personal favorite, a 58 Impala 2drHT with a 348 tri-power and over drive 3 speed. We had 3 57 Fords, 2 Rancheros and a 4dr. When he worked at the Ford house he had a 55 and 56 demo. He also had a 59 Ranchero and a 59 Country Squire SW. His last new was a 63 Country Sedan SW.  I had a 64 Fastback and 64 1/2 Falcon Sprint.  I had a 66 Pont. GP in college. My first new car was a 71 Chevy Caprice 2dr Ht.  I had a 73 New Yorker 2dr Ht, and a 77 Mustang Mach 1. I've driven Chevy and GMC trucks since then and a new 90 Chevy Surburban. I've got a 99 Chevy and a 2007 GMC now.

Someone ought to do one with VW Beetles, now that would be fun. Grin  Most you can tell with in a year or so and a lot of them you can nail if you know what to look for, but they would have to show more than one view. Wink

Next was a yellow '62 Fairlane, new, 170 six with three on the tree( learned how to drive on this one), next was a '64 Galaxie 500 fast back, 289 Auto with a locker rear end( had some fun with this one)............... One easy way to ID a 53 Ford is to check the steering wheel center cap. It has a 50th Anniversary seal   1903-1953 and it was the last year of the flathead engine. My Dad was the Service Manager at our local Ford Dealership, from 52 to 57. My dad loved Fords and Mercs, he also loved flatheads.  The Cawfee is ready this morning for the early risers this morning.

Mornin'.

Fat lady's belly's messed up. Been up sick since 0300. Hope she ain't pregnant.

Flat heads were the old man's engine of choice. Often wonder whut he'd think of the motor in the station wagon. No carburetor. No distributor. Four cams 'n twenty four valves – all in the heads.  100,000 miles 'fore they're broke in good. Oil filter's upside down on top the thing.

Yeah, but I can tell the 53 buy the grill, the 52 and the 54 almost look alike to me.

The old Pre-64 Rambler in-line 6 was like that, handy to get at.

I could say something but I won't. Cool  Kind of like the other night, got in on a discussion at work halfway through.  Finally said "I'm going back where I belong because I want to say something."  (They were talking about Aids and the rumor of how it got started in humans.)  Later at closing time I told them I was going home rather than say something about monkeys. Havin' some sort of food day at work, brought two of the SRB, the kids seen the sack come in and been hittin' it hard.  Got it perfected, now I need to write the recipe down.

Got 5-6" overnight. 24 now, was just outside with the blower getting the drive cleared. Guess I stayed out too long, when I came in, couldn't feel my fingers. Shocked Wife had to unbutton my coat, and, MAN! did they smart when they started coming back Shocked Undecided

Gloves I wore were the ones that have seemed to keep my hands warmer before........not today Sad

Guess they plowed about 6 this morning, had to attack the end of the drive in stages, take the upper down first to get it less tall, then the rest. Since the street was done, I had to go all the way across so's I didn't get yelled at for putting it back in the street. Put down Calc. chloride to get the "hump" less slick, and made a path to Sandy's feeder and filled it back up. Birds got most if not all of the last fill, no deer tracks, just a dang cat..........Buck Undecided Roll Eyes Tongue
