3 loaves in the pan, ready to rise the last time then bake.  May have to rethink this, the sourdough partly ate my raisins, they ain't whole anymore, the kinda turned to mush. Shocked

Should be ready to bake about the time the kids get up.  Weird, just heard a strange noise in the kitchen, sounded like somebody or something just said "Feed Me!" Roll Eyes

Mornin' y'all,
Thanks for the cawfee Del. Went to bed at 9 pm my ownself, heard a rukus outside of hollerin' and fireworks from the casinos at midnite. Got up and watched them blow up folks' hard earned gamblin' money. Show lasted 15 min. and all the neighbors were screamin' too.
Glad it's over and will have a peaceful day, hope yours is the same.

Nappy New Years to every one! The Moose lasted till about 9 pm last night. I fixed me some late night Cawfee and I made it till midnight. They had a big fireworks display at the Horse racing track, which is just west of my house. We sorta slept in this morning. Breakfast for later. now it's just lots of strong, black Cawffee. I started a second pot, that should almost be ready.

Del, I would not worry about those neer-do-wells. They don't know what they are missing. I have sampled everything but the cinnamon bread and they're all good. I bought Moose a new mixer with a dough hook. She is planning making us some bread soon. I fixed cheese grits and pigs in the blanket for breakfast. I had some left over tamale soup for lunch. We're gonna have chips and dips tonight while the Giants beat the Cowboys.  Most of the games played today were blow-outs.

Just came in from the shed - poured about 700 .38 bullets.  Did I mention that Santa brought me a new Ruger LCR?  Been practicing with it & shot up all of the wife's bullets.  Reloaded the 400 I had on hand, will lube the new ones tomorrow & be well stocked again, for a while at least.  Time to go pound some round steaks for chicken fried.

Stu, I've thinking about getting a .380 again. I sold my Beretta when I bought my Glock 26. I still have a bunch of .380 ammo and the LCP is reasonably priced. We haven't had our black eyed peas yet. My pea salad is still marinating. The Rotel dip is ready and the meat balls and little smokies are heating up. My wife made a couple of cheese balls. Everything is coming together.

Made the bread last night and fed the starter, was ready for pancakes this morning, fed the starter, ready and makin' coffee cake right now.  Phase of the moon must have been right when I made it, never had one this active before.  If I don't use it for 3-4 days the alcohol goes way up on it.

You're right a out that trigger Miss Letty - I didn't think I'd care for a DAO revolver till I fondled one at my local Cabelas - about 3 clicks of the trigger & the only decision left to make was whether or not to spend the extra $50 for the magnum model.  I'm glad I did Grin.

Had a good CFS & gravy here - always been a favorite.  Thought about some biscuits too, glad I didn't - about to burst as it is.

Worst thing is I'm married to one, she ate the pancakes this morning but would have been happier with a plain ol' store bought mix.

Coffee cake is in the oven, neighbor just called, said the loaf of sinner-mon raisin bread was all gone, his daughter and grandkids were there when I took it down.  He's heard of sourdough, just never tried it, was offered some by an old prospector in Nevada one and turned it down. Grin

Still seems kinda strange to me that Cabelas has stores all over the country - wasn't that long ago they were just a catalog store, & the only place you could walk in & buy stuff was Kearney.  I worked for them a while answering the phone about the time they started building all those big stores.
