We wound up with a high today of 66, sunny and windy. I've got the Taco soup simmering, to have for supper tonight.  I got an e-mail from a friend of mine that I graduated from college with. His son is being inducted into the NW Oklahoma University Athletic Hall of Fame. He was an NAIA All-American football player and a Academic All-American. He graduated in 2001 and was drafted by the Cowboys. He played 5 years for them. I know his famiily is proud of the honor bestowed upon him.

That's quite an accomplishment TLD, the family has a reason to be proud.
Speakin' of family I met a cousin this afternoon I didn't know I had livin' across town. Her dad "flew the coop" after HS and we didn't see him much after the early '70's. He died in a motorcycle wreck in the early '90's. My mom & I took over a  pile of 'ol pics and gave her a history lesson. Went to a small cafe for a late lunch called the "Wet Hen"...nice afternoon gunna have some soup for later or mustgos.

The Cawfee is ready this morning. Nothing planned for breakfast yet. It feels like a 2 Pot morning. It got down to 40 last night. The sun is up and the wind is blowing. The dogs have had their breakfast and I'm taking requests for breakfast.

This one was a guy in town for the rodeo, didn't need anything, a friend brought him in to look.  He will later, he's gatherin' firearms for CAs.  Said he has a lot of older guns but no Cas stuff except a SAA right now.  Well he has several rifles that will work for GAF, is very interested after lookin' at pictures. Leo, I hope the casserole turned out okay this morning. We had oatmeal and English muffins for breakfast this morning. The Temp. is still hovering around 41 this morning. It's still cloudy and windy.

Replaced a pine fence rail the horses chewed thru with a black locust rail. They won't chew thru that.

Your making me hungry.
Had ham and taters fer lunch. Gonna watch The Book of Ruth: Journey of Faith with the family with tortilla chips and salsa on the side. Saturday and Sunday suppers we watch a movie and eat chips and salsa, or popcorn. The kids usually substitute cottage cheese for the salsa. Roll Eyes

Cut some of the black locust trees that fell in the Sept storm in 8' lengths for more fence rails. Cut one in two length-wise, peeled the bark off and replaced another chewed pine rail. Get a spare fer the next one they chew thru.

BTW, got the chainsaw stuck in a tree and while getting it unstuck the chain broke.  Sad Will have ta take it ta the hardware store ta get it fixed. I have a spare chain so its not a big rush.

Partly cloudy 39° 'n 46%. Sunny, with a high near 50°. North wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm.

That'll werk for the end of January. I'm happy. Still have 'bout a half tank ah oil. Thinkin' it'd be wise ta top it off this week. The prices ain't gonna get no lower no time soon.

Amazon has copies of The Book of Ruth on DVD, ready ta ship.
