Del, I had oatmeal with sliced bananas for breakfast, and toast with blackberry jam.  I finished off the second pot O Cawfee. I haven't got around to lunch yet. It's up to 60 right now with a high of 65 today. That Clemson/West Virginia game was purdy good till the 2nd Quarter and WV got loosened up. It was a blow-out after that. I am hoping the LSU/Alabama is a good one. The LSU coach was at OKLAHOMA STATE before he went to LSU. They Beat BAMA once, Let's hope they can do it again.

Just came back in from a fire drill, didn't want to, its sunny & 70˚ out there & a slight breeze - the Weather Channel says we have critical fire conditions because its so warm & dry - humidity's supposed to be less than 15%.

Got an idea for some fun, get one of those pens that they check bills with to see if they are counterfit.  Put it in your pocket and go to the back and write a check for cash or buy groceries and get cas back on your debit card.  When the give you the bills pull out your pen and check them.  If they ask why tell them if they don't trust you then you don't trust them. When I go to places like that there isn't anyone else most times.  Besides the place taking the money when I'm giving it to them check it.

What's cash?

Feel kinda bad 'bout Sam's 'n cash 'n such. Got ta the dope counter 'bout the same time a woman did. Bein' a southerner by the grace of God, I stepped aside 'n let 'er go first.  She run 'er debt card thru the reader 'n the computer froze. IT dude couldn't thaw it. They hadda go ta 'nother register. Took mine ta the cigarette counter 'n checked out. The IT dude 'n the woman were at a closed checkout register 'n still fiddlin' with it when I left. She didn't look terribly amused.

The farm system football stuff. The VT fans er still whinin'. Blamin' everyone from the refs to the coaches. Sumthin' about a screwed up fake punt 'n a bad touchdown review. They lost a bowl game. They usually do. Sounds hokie ta me. Get over it.

I still like to have some cash with me.  One time last spring I would have had to scrounge for supper with out it.  Lightning took out all the debit machines at the grocery store, they could only take cash or check.

Wawa's system crashed Christmas Eve a year ago 'n they shut the place down. Always wondered 'bout that.

Food Lion's went a couple weeks ago. Announced it over the PA. Said it'd be up in twenty minutes. Fifteen minutes later they said it'd be up in twenty minutes. Left the cart with the stuff in right where it was 'n went ta Harris Teeter.

Carried a couple bucks for targets this mornin'. Usually more cuz I use it at Doumar's. Wanna leave tips in cash. Got some stashed in the station wagon where I can't get to it quick. A thief ain't gonna take that long lookin'. Hunnert a month'll get me by. All else is plastic.

It's always good to have cash on hand in stores. I have an ATM for big purchases. I try to have enough cash when I go to Sam's and Walmart. I usually pay cash for my groceries as well. I've had cashiers mark 50s and 100s that I gave them.

The Cawfee is ready and ham, egg, and cheese burritos for breakfast. I'm ready for a second cup O' Cawfee.  I got creative and mixed up a soup recipe. It turned out purdy good. It wound up making a lot, so we should get a couple more meals out of it. It's already about 50 degrees outside, with a high of almost 70.

That road out of Camp Pitspiter is a place where brakes and a low gear are handy with a heavy load:

That turn at the bottom is very important to make. Grin

Hey All.  Almost 40 here an another dry day.

Still waitin on the Cawfee, we slept late taday.

Del, I found it strange that a brake shop is positioned at the bottom of a hill, made me wonder if there is a body shop next door an owned by the same guy er his brother.

It's our local mechanic/Phillips station, they fix everything, Rita was flower girl at the owners wedding.  One nice thing about our house, we can push dead vehicles down the hill and don't need a tow. Grin

Sorry a cafe on one side and a flour/pasta mill on the other, tis where they make Martha Grouch pasta. Roll Eyes
