Hi Marshal,

I'm still very thankful that you Emailed me inviting me to join up with CasCity with my Spencer Shooting Society  (SSS). We have  a very informative forum, just what i hoped it would become, and you are the reason for making it a success because you gave us a home here at CasCity.  And I continue to thank you for that!

I like CasCity just the way it is.  I hope any changes that you make will not result in any lengthy "down time"  and " additional problems"  as happened at the FS.  Also,  I hope to collect many of the comments made by SSS members and work them into some kind of manual  that will deal with the Spencer in some logical way...a troubleshooting guide, if you will.  So, hopefully the older comments will always be available and can be retreived and  re-read.   I do check out the other forums at CasCity, but when all is said and done, I'm glad SSS has a home here at CasCity, and for a long time to come.  Thank you Marshal

Howdy Raw Flint,

The SSS is here to stay as long as you fine folks want it.
The main change will be moving everything to a new and faster server, but we hope to do this and other changes with minimum downtime. All content will be copied over while the current server is still up and running. When all tests find the new server operative and ok, we will make the switch over.
We have a good third party technical team behind us with a 24/7 support, so am not worried about any long downtime.
All tech stuff is always risky, but we have a good backup policy and forum content are backed up (copied) to tape and my harddrive once a day. Should something happen, we are able to restore everything within six hours.

I am glad you and your group enjoy the site.
