I can't think of a thing I would do to change it.  Unless you can come with a smiley face, that has a beautiful smile like the Marshal'ettes.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, I believe that is what Henry Ford told his son Edsal in the early 1920's.  Next thing you know he's playin' catch up the rest of both of their lives.  Food for thought.

Gooooolllly Bitterwheat!!

Thanks...

I want to thank all of you for the suggestions and the wonderful words about the CasCity site and also for .....
...**clearing my throat and puffing out my chest**..... the things you all said about me..

Oh yeah, and whatever you said about the Marshal too..
 Whatever that was. ::)

Seriously, we do take everything you say in consideration and if it can be done, we (did I say "WE"?)  HE..The Marshal.. The Man with the computer brains) will try to do it and make the site better and better for you .
I will tell you all a secret..well I guess it isn't a secret if I am telling it, but I want you all to know that I have been kind of talking ..weeeelll.. not really talking either ... nagging actually... on Marshal for quite some time,
to add or make available to you all  more smilie's and animations.
Now the ones I have, I search and find the ones I want to use and then he has to go in and ~~take the properties of each one of them and add a number here and save it to this thingy over there and then go back in and put it in a another place over here...and then, highlight something and add something else..and then "" Taa Daa ~~ I can use it.
((You can tell how computer smart I am ..  Just a reeeeall rocket scientist on this thing I am ))

And he has..when he has a bit of time here and there.( and he has had zip lately..poor man) .been trying to find a way to put a program in so that there will be more of the smilies for everyone, but can't seem to make it user friendly enough...But he is working on it.

hey~ I have an idea..
Maybe I should have him just put an instructional post on here on how, after you find them, to do all those things that will make them work, that he does for me.. then each of you can have your own personal ones in your documents to pull from that will work...
Yeahhh~~~maybe I can try to get him to do that for you!
You want me too?
 Huh? Do Ya'?
I am real real  good at getting him to do what I want...
I will start right now..

Marshal??
This is what I think that you ought to do,.. and then you can....... and then the people want....... and why don't you...... oh yeah, and when you have time....... and don't forget about..................

 :D :D :D
Everybody have fun today...ok?

As Marshal'ette nag....uh... said, I am working on the smilies in between, but cannot promise when right now. It is on the work list, I promise!

We have received some feedback from many of you both on this thread plus PMs and emails. Thanks a lot.

Some has mentioned that there are too many boards and or that posters seems to post kind of wild as one put it. Well, we are all guilty of that and the reason is that a forum like ours sometimes wonders off. We and the moderators try to  cut everyone a lot of slack since very few complain about it.

Other would like to see more special interest groups which we are all open to.

Right now, we are just listening and making notes. This is as much your place as it is ours and we like to see more people joining us, have a lot of fun and share common interests. We will not fix something that is not broken, but we will make improvements when necessary.

Marshall & Marshallette:

Here's my $.02.......

I think there's too many boards.  I don't even try to follow most of 'em.  I'm sure there are some good threads in some that I don't even know about because I just don't go there.

Secondly, I'd like to see more facilitated discussions.  As it stands, anybody's welcome to throw their topic into the ring and everybody just fires away at it.  Or not.  A facilitated discussion would be more along the lines of asking what if and/or why not and linking to various sources of information and what not.

An old compter addage comes to mind, "90% of the users use 10% of the capability".  I'd like to see folks push the envelope with this here technology.  Facilitating a topic once or twice a month might help.

Regarding the smilies.....

That's what I'm talkin about.

Well, I don't think there are too many forums myself.  But that's just my opinion.  If I want to know something or have a question, I just look for that forum & go there.  I think the site is great just as it is.  I think if I were offered the position of Mayor... now, that might spice things up a bit!  :D

Just kiddin' Marshal... you da man! ;)

While there are many boards that I don't read, does that mean we should delete them?  Even if you don't read a board, someone does and it might be their favorite.

I have to agree with Del....If I am listening to the radio or television and don't like whats on I switch it, usually off and come here.  I read a thread if I am not interested I go on. I don't have to reply or play along. Far as I am concerned Cas City is better than the televsion, except for the shooting shows, including Cowboys. (IN which I just finished watching)  There's plenty here for all interest, lots of knowledgeable folks, helpful info, good links for CAS sport and some wackyness to boot.
Thanks Marshall and Marshall'ette for all your labor.
