I really wish that the Rogers & Spencer had seen more use before the Bannerman purchase and sale. The Military never did use very many (IF
any at all) because of their late delivery after most of the (Un)Civil War was over. A
small few did get purchased by silly-villians, but few saw use before Bannerman sold the ones he/they had purchased, and if I remember correctly, that was very late in the century, and well past the introduction of cartridge firearms. Most of the R&S guns had been in Govt. storage since their delivery to Military warehouses in 1865. St. George (and other more learned historians than I) can correct my times, but I believe that's what happened and when.
But I LOVE the look of them and I have heard good reports about their accuracy and dependability.
Congrats, Pony on your new "after Christmas" play-pretty!
