Got me a Rolling Block!

I picked up a nice Pedersoli Rolling Block in 45-70 this week. Came with a Tasco Reproduction scope and a Soule Tang Sight with windage adjustable front sight. Sights have never been installed. Still in the boxes.
This now completes my "Three Kings" collection.........1874 Sharps, 1885 High-Wall and Remington Rolling Block.........Now I just need to find a few buffalo to try them out on!
Lots more images here:

That is a beauty. I am so jealous. Are your guns all shooters? Or do you collect?
Excuse my ignorance , just making conversation.

rbertalotto,
I just bought much the same gun.... bought the .45-70 Silhouette Model and then took off the open front site and added a tunnel MVA with bubble (#113) and a MVA Soule style rear tang mounted site ... just got 50 rounds from the guy who reloads for me ... but it will have to sit under the tree until after Christmas so that I can shoot it ....

I sure wish mine was a pistol grip. I might convert it as I find the PG much easier to shoot off cross sticks or a bench with sand bags.
I have both "Shooters" and "collectables". This gun will be a shooter........

I have seen the leatherwoods, but was unaware of the Tasco, that is what i was looking for a Tasco.
The adds I see for the leatherwoods now have a steel tube and brass ends, probably a stronger solution, but the brass wins the style points war hands down.

Did the original scopes have the brass features, or is that just for looks?
(And yes, it looks pretty cool. To me.)

These Brass Tasco scopes are no longer available.
My understanding was they were developed for a certain distributor who included them on various single shot rifles backj in the 1970s.
I might be selling this one as I'm going to use a Tang sight on this rifle for Cowboy Action Buffalo Shoots.
Because they are so rare I understand they are worth thousands of dollars..............................
