Anybody here ever remove the lanyard rings from their 1890 replicas?
A work in progress.

Been a while since I have had one, but my recollection is you just remove the grips and their is a clip on top of the lanyard.  Just pop it off and it will come out.

One of the first things I did on my 1890, as it interfered with my gripping the gun.  (Not really. but I could feel it and it bothered me).  Now it feels the same as my 1875.

Would either of you two be interested in selling your landyard rings?  I'm looking for two of them to put on my 58s.

Thanks, Yahoo

Those lanyard rings are pretty big.  I got one years back from VTI to use on a Webley MK VI pistols that had none ( actual Webley lanyard rings are totaly unavailable).   I then found a while back that Numrich Arms has a lanyard ring that is for a H&R Flare pistol that is smaller, much cheaper and a near match to the oringinal Webley lanyard rings.   I have them on several of my Italian pistols and they are good.  Good for "old time looks" and not big enough to be a nusance in handling the gun.

Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Wolfgang,

Thanks for the part number! That's awesome!  I think I'll go that route.
