ARGGHHH!! WhaddoIdo??

On the commute to verk this morning, it suddenly hit me:

My birthday is in a few weeks, and I haven't thought of my present to me!

A few years back, I signed for my land on my birthday.

Then one year I went to Virginia Arms and picked up my '97, '94 and first Ruger for my birthday.

But here I am, with nothing planned.

WhatamIgonnado?

I should get a generator, for times when I don't have power.

I should get a new car, or have all the gaskets replaced in mine before I have an oil spill worse than Exxon's.

But this will be for my birthday. Birthdays aren't about what you need, they are about what you WANT.

And what I WANT is this:

Ok....lemme reword it.

I fail to understand the fascination with those high powered hand cannons for just target shooting.  If for personal defense they are ok.  For hunting...same thing.  But to use those heavy calibered hand guns for target shooting I fail to understand.

Aye, it's a WartHog thing.

I don't recall saying I wanted a DE AE.50 for target shooting. ALL of my non-CAS firearms are made to be used for personal defense and/or hunting, and my CAS firearms would also serve the purpose, if need be.  8)

Cammie, is that the Snake Slayer? It's a pretty little thing, isn't it?   :D

So I was up in the Cosie's Corner, reading recipes, when one of Gopher Grease's comments reminded me that I still do not have an operational oven.

Dagnabbit, I don't want an oven for my birthday.

It always amazis me that someone wants to throw a wet blanket on someones fun.  As long as ya don't force AK to fire it or shoot it at him, he be whinin' fer nuthin', but he's got toys we wouldn't like.  Myself I am resticed by my body and doctors orders as to what I shoot in my hand.  But my shoulder is fine.  <Lusts after a 577 NE Double rifle  and yes it's practical, what if I get up some morning and an eller-funk is eatin' my roses. ;D>
