Here a picture of the horse shelter. It is finished for this year. In the spring, we'll put the facia on it.

Figured out the differance tween a yuppie and a redneck (cowboy type also)

Both pull into the parking lot of the grocery store, there is a old man about 70 with the hood up on his Jeep Cherokee, fiddlin' with the battery cables.  Yuppie is drivin' some sort of SUV/Crossover Hybrid, other guy is drivin' and old beat-up pick-up.  Yuppie walks up and offers the use of a cell phone. (Surley someone trying to fix a vehicle don't have a cellphone to call for help.)  Dude in cowboy hat and duster offers better tools and jumper cables.

Slim, That;s a good looking shelter for the horses. I am sure they will appreciate it when it snows. We are up to 36 right now with a high in the low 50s. Oatmeal and toast this morning, with a second pot of Cawfee.  Arcey, I hope you enjoy that Northwoods soup. We have fixed it several times. I really soups and stews when the weather is cold, and chili is another cold weather favorite.

Del, I really enjoy your jokes. My wife uses my trucks all the time, but she seldom puts gas in them. The sun finally came out and it's up to 39. The Moose left the house this morning for an all-day outing with friends.

Major, Snow is a "keeper".  I had a yellow Lab for 15 years and I have had Victoria(choclate Lab) for 5 years. They are the best. I made chicken tamale soup and cheese nachos for supper.  It's 48 outside and we're in for the night. Victoria is asleep at my feet, life is good.

Cheese is always good on nachos, kinda dry without it.

Got more junk stuff off the top shelf in the garage ta make the house look like the north pole.  I don' remember the part wherein 20 or so snowmen were in Bethlahem with a herd a reigndeer an a bunch a strands a tangled lights.  Oh well, makes the gal happy.

Fat lady fixed up the tree yestitty. She don't want me near the construction area. Had 'er noise goin' on the den computer. Went in 'n run up Weird Al's 'What I Bought on eBay' then disappeared. Thought it fittin' with all the junk she's ordered on line comin' in.

Good Morning Folks!  Thanks for the Cawfee. I stayed up all night. I went to bed at 0600 and woke up at 0900.  Miz Letty, I read an article on the Reno Cattle Drive in this Month's edition of AMerican Cowboy.  It's 37 and sunny, with a high in the low 50s.

I'll have to grab a copy of that magazine...nice to see us getting some media on that cattle drive. They are one of the last rodeos accross the country to still keep it going. Folks around the world come to ride and have a great time....The rodeo folks treat them well, a great way to "kick off" festivites. Wild horse racin' went by the wayside...too bad 'cuz we have a "bounty" of the critters roamin' the hills.

Thanks. About a month ago, it was in the 30's with rain and wind. The horses didn't have shelter and they were shivering.

'Tis 32 and sunny. High of 40. Warm enough ta ride horses this afternoon.  Grin

Good choice. Collards set it all off nicely. We'd had some turkey it'd been like Christmas. Downside is there isn't enough left for the five bean 'n ham thing.............

It is still 50 outside. I am fixing the Northwoods Soup tonight for supper with some crusty bread and red wine. We took Victoria to the park this morning for her run. She loves the cool weather. She got mad at me because I didn't want to roll my window down so she could stick her head out. She rides behind me and hangs her head over my left shoulder.
