Most all of us are, LIT
But, sometimes it's the only affordable way to get something done. I've been up on my carport roof several times in the last couple weeks myself. Also have crawled under our older MH in an effort to to see about getting brakes problem fixed, which is still an ongoing problem( can't find a suitable replacement)

Yup, but my wife and kids don't love me anymore or they'd tell me to get my arse down.
I'm taking lots of breaks and being careful. The soil ought to be good for my garden, the ladder sonk about a 1/2 in the loam and startled me a bit.

Remember when Izzybel blew thru 'n made a pin cushion fer branches outta the roof. I wuz up on the roof with a chainsaw tryin' ta find the holes so I could plug 'em. Couldn't get a roofer 'n they couldn't get shingles ennyways. Fat lady standin' in the yard yellin' fer me ta get off the roof. Hell, I didn't wanna be up there in the first place but there weren't much of a choice if I wanted ta keep whut ceilin's we had left.
Was shootin' a lot then 'n I had ta call 'n cancel my spot it the state shoot. That hurt.
First three target arrays er all set up 'n ready ta go. Plywood cattle 'n horseys er on the loose. Six stages tamarah 'n six fer Sunday. The first annual Sussex County Range War is about ta commence.............

Night shift passin'by, checkin' the fire and the pot, ready for the early risers.
Our weather has changed quite drastically in the last weekor so. Two weeks ago I was sitting in the truck with the AC running in the afternoon when I would go to pick Bella up from school; temps were in the high eighties or low nineties. Yesterday the wind was blowing in the AM and in the afternoon, it rained a good bit. Cool today, cooler tomorrow; the mountains are snowed on. Guess winter is just around the corner.
I might get up on the roof if I absolutely had to, but my legs are so shot that I even have a hard time getting up a ladder anymore; I'd probably have to crawl around on my hands and knees up there. Had a few good scares on roofs over my years working; never used any fall arrest equipment or anything like it back in those days, usually just some batten boards stuck to the roof with some 16 or 20 penny nails. It's a booger when a batten board rolls over under your foot when you put weight on it.
Did any of ya' get a rocking from that shaker in OK? Bethcha it scared the water out of a lot of folks, especially if they have never been through one. Danged thing still get my ticker tickin', even though I have lived with them all my life; they just put ya' on high alert.
Well, I am going to go wander off; got all of the clocks changed, time to hit the hay.
Later.
