I found a TTN, 12g, coach gun, with hammers in 99% condition for $350.

Is this a reasonable deal or do they sell for less?

A Rossi coach gun. an L.C. Smith coach gun, and a Stevens 311 with 25 inch and a second pair of 30 inch
' barrels, all in 12 ga.  Also a T. Barker and a Crescent, both 12 ga full length barrelled hammer guns.    A fellow shooter and good friend of mine bought one of the first TTN Coach Guns in our area.  He liked it for the ability to thumb both hammers back at once, but he couldn't get it to stop rusting, so he traded it off.

Yeah  $350 is not bad

Interesting comment  Rusting ?    :-\

My TTN is about 7 years old,  I've used the hell out of it ,handled alot shooting 4 gun SASS.

I live in Florida ( surrounded on 3 sides by salt water, rains daily all summer long ) the rust capital of the USA.

Mine does not have even a spot   :)

Whichever one comes handy . . . . .

. . . got 4 of 'em.   One very nice Belgian with 30 in. barrels . . .

. . a Husqvarna with one side sleeved for .45-70 . .

A couple of others that are well worn but shootable, . . . one of them has damascus barrels but I've fitted with with .410 inserts to make it a shooter as well.

http://www.drburkholter.com/cf6.html

Love them all . . . but then I love all my shootin' irons . . . .  :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

I am running a matching pair of Rossi Overland Hammered coach guns in 20 and 12 with nothing done to them, except replacing worn out springs.  Of course they came from the factory choked Mod. and Imp.  I also shoot an IAC (Norinco) 1887 with nothing but some polishing done to the internals.

My wife has a Stoger and a Stevens 311 in 20 that she shoots.  Previous owner had cut down the Stevens and we had them both properly fitted to her (she's petite ;D).

The tally thus far:

Compiled from above and PMs received.............

Stoeger..........20.....3
                     12.....2
Baikal..............12.....2
Rossi...............12.....1
                      20.....1
Liberty.............12.....1
TTN................12.....4
T Baker............12.....1
311.................12.....2
                       20.....5
SBK..................12.....2
97....................12.....4
Webly and Son...12.....1
NR Davis............12.....1
Husky................12.....2
Lefever..............12.....1
Century..............12.....2

The large majority of barrel length is 30"

Many folks own multiple, inexpensive shotguns. Seems well under $500 is the going price. Folks will spend over $1000 on a revolver or a rifle, but not see the need to spend much over $350 for a SG.............

Let's keep this list alive.......Add yours below.

Another to add to your list - a Russian made Tula TOZ-66 hammer gun. I bought a Stoeger Uplander new when I started a couple of years ago, bought the TOZ-66 shortly afterwards and have been using it ever since. ;D

I call my TOZ66 "Traktor Girl"  as she is as rough & tough as they come.  Parts are hard to come by, and I hesitate to lighten the springs until I know I can replace them after an "OOPS"

Yeah Sir Charles they have the springs from 60's B-model Mack! I gave mine to Jug Browning @ Mid-Maryland Gun Repair and she came back VERY sweet!
Now I can do the T-Bone sweep - Keep gun shouldered, and in one twisting motion the thumb hits the release and your fingers sweep the hammers. 8)

TTN hammer gun. That rusting problem was probably bluing salts that weren't gotten completely off. Mine's a 2004 model and it had some problems with the salts reappeering where he barrels and the piece down the middle were put together. fimally stopped doing it, piece has been my main since I got it. had to get the lighter springs and bigger bead from Walt at that time.............Buck ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Top: Baikal Bounty Hunter II.  It was my first CAS shotgun, got a Coyote Cap action job.  Works fine but I rarely shoot it as I prefer hammers.  Middle: Liberty II (Turkish).  works good, case colors are pretty, but I only shoot it about 10% of the time because it has less stock drop than the TTN and doesn't point as well for me.  Bottom: TTN, had it since 2004.  Antiqued it and gave the stock an oil finish.  It is my main gun.  Love it.

Nice trio of pipes there pard!

I'm new at this game. Do the hammers slow you down or are you in a different class than folks with model 97 Winchesters?

They really don't slow me down compared to the hammerless.  The hammers on the TTN are close enough together that some folks cock them both at once, but I still do them one at a time.  Cock the left one after shucking empties, and the right side after reloading and bringing the gun back to the shoulder.  And SxS can be staged with the hammers already cocked for the 1st two shots, so no slowdown there.  Now, I don't practice.  Ten years ago I would have been fairly fast, but there are people who are much faster than that now, just like the pistol and rifle shooting has sped up considerably:
