Old Norinco Copy of an 1911-A1
« on: October 09, 2011, 03:39:06 AM »
I have an old Norinco 1911A1 copy and am wondering if one could use it in this new catagory of cowboy shootin' "Wild Bunch"?

I changed out the plastic grips it came with with checkered wood one's I purchased at a gun show some time ago.

Thanks for the info.

Assuming the grips do not have a thumb rest, then yes, it is legal for WB.

If your Norinco is a 1911 copy it can be used in Wild Bunch matches if it is properly configured for either traditional or modern.  As a side note, Wild Bunch is not a category in CAS.  It is a different discipline just as mounted shooting is a different discipline.

Thank you for that tidbit of information about Wild Bunch shooting.  I did not realize it was it's own seperate entity, I stand corrected.
