Howdy,

I think I want this gun.. I just saw it, can't afford it.. but it looks like the button magazine guns Winchester used to make.  Remember Newman's gun in Hombre?

$1000 plus.. but...dang!

 :o Now that there is a memory! The movie is great but to remember the mans rifle thats better than good!  But, yeah that is a cool gun!  At a grand a piece it would have to be ::).

What is the caliber?  The pistol grip looks too sporting for CAS.  (Just thought I'd point that out in case it made you want it less) It really hurts to see such a thing out of reach.

WOW!!!!!  What a rifle!!!!  I have to tell ya, pards, I'm seriously thinking about scrounging around for the dough to get this beauty!  I found a '73 Musket late last year, but couldn't cough up the bucks to get it...and this one's even BETTER!  I just might have to "bite the bullet" and find a way to get this beauty.   Big Hext, if I do get it, at least it'll be here in Texas...if we're ever at the same shoot, I'll let ya put some rounds downrange with it, if it winds up mine.

How is life on the east side of the Colorado river?

I do think this is a great rifle and while pricey, the extra couple hundred is well worth it in style points, if you are looking for a 73.  So please.. save me! ;)

Big Hext, mi amigo!  There's been no Comanche raids on this side of the Colorado so far this year...but summer's just startin'!!!  I have a bonus check comin' in sometime soon...and it sure is tempting to get this FINE rifle!!!!!!!  I agree about the style points....I won't hit any better with this beaut, but I'll sure look good while I'm missin'!!!!  I'll keep ya informed on whether I do get it, pard.

Well, Big Hext, I'll probably be passing on this rifle, too, pard!  Seems that Traditional Effects has a consecutively numbered pair of USFA Single Action Armies with 7 1/2" barrels and in ,45 Colt that are callin' to me!!!!!  You know how tempting Abilene, Loose Cannon Lou and those guys can be over there!!!  By the way, I saw your "new" Schofield while I was there...nice revolver!  I have a line on a S&W Schofield, and I think I'm going to break down and get one.  Hope ya had a great time shootin' at Driftwood today, pard!
